Cards for Grace

Most of you are familiar with Jennifer McGuire's Cards for Kids drive. Sweet Jennifer has added a special little girl to the list of kids who could use some encouragement. Young Grace just lost her twin sister Ellie to cancer. You can read the details here. As a Mom of twins this touches me in a way I can't explain.. I'm DEFINITELY going to send a card or two.

Sand Shaker Birthday Card

Yet another card for the Hero Arts Summer challenge. I made this card for my son who turns six next month. Can you tell I'm having fun with my Silhouette and Hero Arts stamps together? I used Hero Arts layering papers and Hero Arts Silhouette shapes (ungrouping the shapes so I could just use the outlines) for inside the shaker.

Hi everyone! Hope your having a great week. I've been spring cleaning. ALMOST done the kitchen... then to tackle the rest of the house.

Just wanted to let you know that voting began yesterday for the Inlinkz Boy Card challenge and we're having some weird computer issues preventing me from going to their website. :( Anyways, I would REALLY appreciate your vote. My card is apparently #63 and here is the link to the VOTING PAGE. Here's my card in case you missed it the first time. :)

Thanks so much everyone!

Color Layering Technique

For Hero Arts June 2010A challenge. For this card I focused on Shari's Color Layering technique. I REALLY struggled with this technique (as my garbage can will attest) but in the end had fun. :) I used a couple of flowers from the Real Flowers clear set. I used Soft Blossom shadow ink with the larger flowers and chalk ink with the smaller ones. Here I stamped twice before reinking.

I received an email from the InLinkz blog last week about their very first challenge and decided I just had to join in the fun. :) Here's my card:

All stamps are Hero Arts. Love those little monsters! Hope you'll join in the fun and make a card for the challenge... OR you could vote for mine. ;)
